5. Kelereng Segitiga/Pot Kelereng
Kelereng Segitiga/Pot Kelereng, as the name suggests, employs a triangular throwing
line arrangement. The triangular image is sometimes modified by drawing a straight line
from the apex to the base of the triangle. The center line is used to arrange the marbles to
be played.
Marbles have been used in games since the 12th century, when the French called them
'billes,' which means small balls. However, it has been discovered that marbles existed in
the ancient Egyptian civilization, specifically in 3000 BC. Marbles were created using
stone and clay at the time.
The game is played in a circle, with players taking turns throwing marbles at the target.
If any marbles are aimed or hit so that they fall outside of the triangle line, the player has
the right to take them.
Marbles game is one example of a traditional game that can be used to train children's
abilities. According to Mulyani (2016: 86), the advantages of playing marbles are as
follows:
1) Helping children develop their fine motor skills.
2) Increasing children's concentration while playing.
3) Developing language for children.
4) Communicating with peers, work in groups, and solve problems while playing,
among other things. Children's social interaction with their peers is also very
positive.
